It was there all along…

This morning, I did it!

I kept my eyes open, and wouldn’t you know it, beauty was all around me. So I want to share a few glimpses with you.

Beautiful Bayou St. John

City Park, New Orleans. The oak trees are full of pollen, but they sure are pretty!

BTW, the phone/camera is in a dashboard mount. Safety first.

New Orleans has LOTS of oak trees.

As the leaves fill in,  giant oaks create beautiful silhouettes against the sky!

And the first hint of spring in my back yard.

So now, my challenge to you. Find a glimpse of everyday beauty, and share it with us. Hop over to my Facebook page

  1. Breathing in those pictures (in particular, the flowers) and reminding myself that beauty is everywhere, even in the barren garden I peer at through my kitchen window. Yesterday, I found it in the smile of a 3 year old as I pushed him on the swing. I need only look up, and there it is, beauty.

  2. Flowers! Whaaaat? We are months away from flowers. But i can’t wait to come down in June. :) Nice to know they’ll be waiting.

  3. It is so amazing to see so much green and flowers! We are buried under snow still – which will be great for the poor farmers who have been struggling with drought for the past few years, so I am not complaining – I like to eat! It is actually really pretty right now, all white and pristine looking. But what a treat to see flowers on your porch!
